    Description

Easter is celebrated at the village in a traditional way, following the ritual of the Holy Week in church.

The day of the Easter is celebrated with spit lambs in every house. From early in the morning, rifle shots are heard at the whole village, giving the signal, that it is the time that the lamb should be put on the fire and the roasting starts accompanied by snacks and drinking tsipouro. The same occurs at noon, when the lamb is ready to be eaten. In this way the Easter meal starts with a feast that holds until late in the evening.

Moreover, there is Stefani’s store of tsipouro, where every Easter a feast is organized, with exceptional, live, traditional music by a band playing the zourna, the tabor, the clarinet and signing. The people dance even in the middle of the road.
