    Description

All started almost three decades ago due to the artistry and the knowledge of entomology doctor Athanasios Koutroumpas. He is the one continuing his work , as the scientist coming from Volos, since 1987 when he founded the Entomology Museum, that brings his name-, keeps enriching his personal collection with different kinds of insects from all over the world. Mostly, he shares this wealth of nature and, simultaneously, transfers the knowledge to the audience that every time is speechless facing this entomological treasure.. The enthusiasm, indeed, is provoked by the thousands colorful butterflies found in the entrance. Among them, there are rare and unique samples such as the biggest butterfly in the world: Thysania Agrippina from South America, with a wings opening 37-40 cm!
