    Description

     

    The radio museum “Antonis Tavanis” opened its doors to the audience on the 26th October in 2008 and is accommodated at the old warehouse of the Association. The radios that are exhibited are almost 130, from which 100 have been donated by the famous philhellene German professor of the University in Switzerland, Wilfred Seps, who loved the beauty of Pelion and especially Lafkos during a journey on Pelion. There are 30 more radios, which are donations of people from Alexandria in Egypt, from Athens, Trikala, Volos, Kozani, Xanthi.  It is especially known, as it is the second in Greece, and the number of its visitors has surpassed the 10000. At the museum, there is a tour, which starts with the history of the radio, there is an acquaintance with the Museum and there is a reference at the Serbian American Nikola Tesla.

    The Museums are daily open during the summer months and upon request during the winter months.
