    Description

Just before you reach the square of the village, you will find a tavern of wooden construction called “Salkimi” which is distinguished by the titillating aromas, coming out of the kitchen, inviting you to taste the cuisine of Mygdalio’s and Antonis’, who welcome you with the warmest smile! Salkimi is a name for the plant Wisteria sinensis coming from Asia Minor which means “the grape bunch” and you will see its dominant presence in the space in and above the tavern, wrapping beautifully the roof of the tavern. This special space is also decorated by the paintings by the hand of Zois K. Ntinou, in which the art from Asia Minor meets the traditional folklore Pelion culture. The tastes are traditional and give out the aroma of the cuisine from Asia Minor. All the dishes are handmade, made with local ingredients and cooked with love and artistry. Handmade pies, “chasapa” which is veal roll stuffed with different kinds of cheese roasted in greaseproof paper, “chounkiar begienti” which is braised beef with mashed eggplant, “gkioulmpasi” with three kinds of meat in the pot cooked with vegetables, “clay cap” which is mushrooms, cheese and sour cream, “orphan kokoretsi, which is liver roasted in suet, boar hunting and other tastes which will satisfy and excite the most demanding palate!

Open the whole year. The dishes are served from 12:00 at noon till 12:00 at midnight.

    Reservations are indispensable during festivities.
