    Description

A factory revives. A factory unique at its kind, since it had been functioning with steam from the first time in 1926. Until 1978, when it stopped functioning, it nourished hundreds of families and thousands of buildings housed its premises. It reopened in 2004 to contribute in the rescue and projection of the Industrial and Cultural legacy, in Thessaly as well as in Greece. In the premises of this important industrial complex, everything recites its history as being in the present: sanders, presses, all the equipment speak though its sound since it is perfectly preserved. With the 24 combustion furnace Hoffman monopolizing the interest: how many houses were built and how many tiles that were baked in its oven dressed their roofs? The interest becomes more intense as the visitors can see the furnace on a maquette, elaborate it to see how it functioned, even to get into the oven! The production line is revived by the countless maquettes that exist in the place, whereas the employees’ personal experiences as are recited on the video that can be watched in each room, thrill and constitute the biggest guarantee for the transmission of the history in the generations to come.
